The Newark Chess Club is a 501(c)3 nonprofit mentorship program founded in 2009 in Newark New Jersey. Their mission is to transform lives by building critical thinking skills in children. They use chess as the bonding activity to build a lasting relationship between a mentor and a mentee, and use chess to teach children how to make better decisions. Their goal is to teach every child in Newark how to play chess and to make sure that every child has a mentor.

Newark Chess Club hired Newark By Design to redesign their website and create a series of social media graphics for their Facebook and Instagram pages in order to increase brand awareness and promote their initiatives.
